Our apartment is located at an altitude of 1500 meters, surrounded by mountains and nature. You don't even have to leave the apartment to enjoy fantastic views. From the balcony you can see the Riedgletscher, the Mattertal and five mountains of 4000 meters high!
Of course there are plenty of hiking trails into nature from the apartment. Within 500 meters of the apartment you already have the chance to see a group of ibexes walking around freely. We were lucky enough to also see a golden eagle and a bearded vulture. The great view of the mountains and the animals offer you the total nature package!
As well as hiking, the ski area of Grächen is also close by and can be reached with a short 5 minute bus ride. The bus stops 100 meters from the apartment. The Grächen ski area is located between 1600 and 2868 meters. Larger ski areas in the area, such as Saas Fee and Zermatt, can be reached in about 30 minutes by car. Of course we don't have to mention this, but the views in Zermatt on a sunny day are surreal and magical, definitely recommended!
